Find out what to expect and what we believe at Grace Lutheran Church
Grace Lutheran is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the North Carolina Synod of the ELCA.
Join Pastor Gina for Sunday School for adults at 9 AM on Sunday mornings and Worship at 10 AM.
Our worship service is open to anyone, come as you are. Our worship service has three main parts: the Gathering, the Word, and the Meal. We gather into worship each Sunday with a welcome and announcements, confession, and forgiveness. Next, we move to the word portion of our service where we hear the Word of God through hymns, scripture, and a sermon. Finally, we celebrate communion each week and are sent back out into the world. Our entire worship service is printed in the bulletin so it’s easy to follow along, but if you get stuck there are plenty of friends waiting in the pews to help you enjoy worship and participate fully.
What We Believe
We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
This means that we believe that God has already saved the world by grace through the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. This is a free gift of God’s love and our actions (good or bad) play no part in it. It’s already been done. But this gift is also a call – it is a call to go out and share this Good News with a world that desperately needs to hear it.
We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is stronger than the powers of evil. This means that we try to live lives of love, generosity, and hospitality instead of fear, scarcity, and security.
We don’t always get it right, but we do always strive to better live out our baptism.
