World Relief Triad
September 2024 Update!
Greetings from World Relief Triad! Thank you, Grace Lutheran, for supporting our mission in the Triad. You have been faithful with your time and talents since 2020. Together with us you are boldly engaging in with a world crisis, in the name of Jesus Christ, called to serve your neighbor. A bit of good news from our southern border is that crossings have declined. However, since January 2024 WRT has resettled 160 people from 16 different countries. 100 have gotten their first job in America, 49 people received Green Cards and 32 people became US citizens. Still, WRT has the largest number of refugees seeking asylum in history. The average wait time in refugee camps across the globe is 6 years. A needs list for resettling refugee families in the Triad follows.
For information about volunteering for WRT call Charlotte Yandell at 336-906-3452.
